Role Overview:

As an NMS Tools Engineer at A1 CDC, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Network Management Systems that support A1’s convergent network operations across fixed and mobile services. You will work with platforms such as NetAct, Ericsson Network Manager (ENM), ZTE Power Supply Platform, NetNuman, and internal tools to ensure reliable system performance, automation, and efficient troubleshooting, contributing to the stability and continuous improvement of A1’s network operations.

Role insights

  • Design, implement and manage advanced NMS platforms such as ENM (Ericsson Network Manager), NetAct, ZTE Power Supply Platform and other network management solutions, ensuring their stability, scalability and efficient lifecycle management.
  • Monitor the performance of NMS platforms, proactively identify potential issues and implement effective solutions to maintain optimal system operation and high service reliability.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions using technologies such as Python, Bash and SQL in order to streamline operational processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to integrate new technologies and continuously enhance the capabilities of the NMS platforms.
  • Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation and prepare performance reports, including recommendations that support system optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for NMS platforms, troubleshoot incidents and contribute to maintaining high system availability and stability.
  • Evaluate existing tools, processes and solutions and actively contribute to improvements that support scalability, operational efficiency and long-term network performance.

What makes you unique

  • Hands-on experience working with NMS platforms such as ENM (Ericsson Network Manager), NetAct, ZTE Power Supply Platform or other similar network management solutions.
  • Solid technical understanding of network protocols, data technologies and service operational support systems, with familiarity in both mobile and fixed network environments.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in languages such as Python, Bash and SQL, with the ability to automate operational tasks and improve system performance.
  • Practical experience with Linux system administration (e.g. RHEL), including configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of production environments.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret network performance data, identify trends and proactively optimize services and system performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, while knowledge of additional languages used within the A1 Group is considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the A1 Group for project coordination, troubleshooting and collaboration.
